1 – What are cookies?
A cookie is a small amount of information downloaded onto your computer or device when you visit certain web pages. AIDEN's website uses a number of different cookies, including necessary, functional, performance and behavioural cookies.
Cookies improve your browsing experience by allowing the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login and geographic region selection). This means you won't have to re-enter this information each time you visit the website or move from one page to another.

2 – Which cookies do we use and why?
Necessary cookies

For example, authentication cookies are functional cookies used during the course of a session (or persistent, if you accept the "remember me" function) to allow users to authenticate on subsequent visits or to access authorised content on the pages.
The functional cookies we use at AIDEN include:
- User-centric security cookies: used to detect authentication abuse, with a limited persistent duration.
- Multimedia player session cookies: used during a session to store the technical data needed to play video or audio content.
- Load-balancing session cookies: used during a session to identify the same server in the group.
- User interface customisation cookies: used to store the User's preferences regarding a service on web pages.
Performance cookies
We use performance cookies to collect information about how the Customer/User uses our website and how often. These cookies only collect information for statistical purposes and do not collect any information that could personally identify the User/Customer. However, because these cookies are not strictly necessary for the use of our website, we need your consent to use them.
We use Google Analytics and other analytics providers to help measure how Users interact with the content of our website. These cookies "remember" what our Users have done on previous pages and how they interacted with the website.
Behavioural / marketing cookies
Social media plug-in tracking cookies are used on many social networks that have "social plug-in modules". We integrate these modules into our platform to provide services that may be considered "expressly requested" by our Users. However, we need your consent, because some of the third-party social media plug-in tracking cookies are used for things such as behavioural advertising, analytics and/or market research.

Third-party ones
The main third-party services aiden.es uses today are Google Analytics (statistics, only with your permission) and Google Fonts (necessary, for the typefaces). We are renewing this list service by service to document each one by hand, without relying on an automatic scanner.
4 – How long will cookies stay on my computer or mobile device?
How long a cookie stays on your computer or mobile device depends on whether it is a "persistent" cookie or a "session" cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing and persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted.
Most of the cookies we use are persistent and expire between 90 days and two years from the date they are downloaded onto the device.
5 – Social Media Buttons
Social Media Buttons for social media websites are used to allow the User to share or tag web pages. We cannot prevent these sites from collecting information about you.
